Permissions

A profile grants access one record type at a time, by allowing any of five permissions. Each maps to a column on the profile's Permissions tab; the short code used in that column's header is shown in brackets.

Read (READ)

Permission to view the list of records. Short code R.

Add (ADD)

Permission to create new records. Short code A.

Edit (EDIT)

Permission to modify existing records. Short code E.

Delete (DELETE)

Permission to delete records. Short code D.

View (VIEW)

Permission to view the details of a specific record. Short code V.

Receiving rights

Besides the five record permissions above, a profile has a Rights tab listing individual rights for specific actions. Two of them shape the receiving process. Both are granted on top of the Edit receipts right.

Post receipts

Allows moving a receipt through its statuses and finishing it, so the received goods land on stock. On the handheld terminal this is the right behind the Finish icon on the receipt screen; without it the icon is not available. A receipt that confirms itself automatically does not need an operator with this right at the moment it closes.

Accept lots with a short remaining shelf life

Allows saving a received fact for a lot that has fewer days left before expiry than the lot tracking policy requires. A user with this right sees a confirmation dialog and can accept the lot anyway. A user without it is told that only a senior can accept such a lot and must call one.
